In the southwest corner of the Aegean sea between the islands of Crete & Rhodes lies Karpathos. An island of rare beauty and diverse cultural tradition.

In the modern part of Karpathos there are two small villages. Diafani in the east is the main tourist center situated on a glorious beach and surrounded by unspoken scenery. The other is the traditional village of Olympos perched upon a mountainside with breathtaking views of the island's west coast 8 km from Diafani. The visitor becomes a traveler in time, experiencing a landscape and a way of life so mingly unchanged since the days of the Byzantine Empire.

In a colorful environment only 100 m. from the sea of beautiful Diafani, you will find HOTEL NIKOS. 16 rooms with bathroom and large bal - conies. All above as well as the traditional hospitality are waiting for you just like your home.

Vroukounda (ancient Vrykous): One of the 4 ancient cities of Karpathos. It reached its peak during 4th and 3td Centuries B.C., though remains date to a much earlier period. The city was inhabited until the early Cristian era and left behinde a rich archeological mixture of tombs, walls, statues and much evidence to assume that Brykous was an importance both for trade and culture.
